New Longboard Customization Program

Restless is a longboard company specializing in custom longboards. For the past 7 years, we've been making unique shapes and designs for people across North America and Europe. Our boards are made with hard Canadian Maple and hand crafted in our shop in Montreal, Canada.

The idea started with a snowboard, a jigsaw and an old pair of skate trucks. That's all it took. With the help of local riders, composite materials, computer simulations and the time tested technique of trial and error, we have since developed a great line of products. Promoting local materials, riders, artists and striving to be environmentally friendly have been the guide lines throughout our creative process.

We pride ourselves in knowing that we created decks that would allow all riders to live a one of a kind experience, regardless if they are looking for a smooth city cruise or an adrenaline driven speed rush. To achieve this objective we have put the emphasis on quality, performance and aesthetics of our products.

Our goal when starting this project was to stand out from the masses and offer something different. Tired of the staleness of mass commercialized products that can be found anywhere and everywhere, we wanted to offer an alternative. Instead of being content with following the trends, we wanted to give all riders the tools to dictate them. It's safe to say that we have accomplished this mission.

Today we are introducing our new website and more importantly our new longboard customization program. It's a highly interactive online Flash program, from where you can create the board of your dreams by using our pre-designed templates or from scratch. Here's an inside look!

First, the program lets you choose from our numerous types of longboards. Every year we come out with new models. This year's feature is our Downhill board. A hybrid between a cruiser and a downhill, it has a 1 inch drop and 9 plies of hard maple.

The next step is to choose one of our templates designed by local artists or start your design from scratch. You'll then be able to modify the template in many different ways.

This step is where all the action takes place. You can easily add text and upload images onto your board. You can also move, scale, change the opacity and even the color tones of any object on the design. Finally, you can use one of the design's backgrounds or create your own. Everything has been made with user-friendliness in mind so that anybody can make an artist out of themselves. If you want to work outside the constraints of the program you can directly make your design in Photoshop or Illustrator and send it to us. Contact us by email for details. Finally, you can accessorize your board using our current stock of trucks, wheels, bearings and griptape. We're always looking out for high quality equipment that you can include with your board.
